About Veronica H. Hart

A member of the Florida Writers Association, her creative writing spans a wide range of storytelling, dealing with danger, deceit, love, and survival in various genres. Her settings range from the Civil War to the future. Her workshops are designed to help authors venture into historical, romance, and fiction writing. Believing in their importance in creative writing, she encourages others to participate in writing groups, particularly those which focus on positive but constructive critiques.
She currently serves as a Regional Director for the Florida Writers Association and facilitator for the Daytona Fiction Writers and the Daytona Area Writers. She is a member of Florida Association of Publishers and Authors, Carrollton (GA) Creative Writers, and Sisters in Crime.
In addition to the above, she serves as a volunteer at The Chiles Academy in Daytona Beach, a charter school for young mothers. For the past four years she has mentored students and helped produce an anthology of their writings which is presented to them in May just before graduation. The anthologies, "Young Mothers' Voices" are available through Amazon.com.

News update:

On October 19,2019, Veronica was the honored recipient of the Kaye Coppersmith Award, presented by the Florida Writers Association to a member who "exemplifies the spirit of writers helping writers." The award was created to honor the memory of Kaye Coppersmith whose energy and enthusiasm embraced those words. She was like the Energizer Bunny at all the annual FWA conferences, always eager to help others.
